The Arrangement was created by J & Mollie. They co-wrote this story after realizing their vampire OCs likely crossed paths in 1920s New York – or at least they would once they got to plotting. This is their first comic project together, but they’ve been friends ever since they met over a mutual love of 1980s vampires over five years ago.

CO-CREATOR/CARTOONIST
J Clarke (they/them) is a queer nonbinary Afro-Caribbean illustrator/comic artist based in the Pacific Northwest. They are fond of historical fashion, folklore, cinema, and a bit vampire obsessed. In addition to The Arrangement, they create and run #BIPOCVampDay and the associated zine Vampires of Color.

CO-CREATOR/WRITER
Mollie Cortes (any/all) is a bi gender writer based out of central Florida. She has a love for history, with a particular interest in the Victorian era and 1980s culture and is an avid cosplayer and drag performer. In addition to co-writing The Arrangement, Mollie also runs a small business, Upcycled Alchemy, where she creates bespoke gifts out of gently loved clothing.
EDITOR
Bea Schares (they/them) is a nonbinary multi-disciplinary artist/editor/weirdo based in the midwest. They live for curiosity and fun, and have never met an art form they didn’t want to try. In addition to editing The Arrangement, Bea has also lent their critical talents to Emily Cotton Cram’s ongoing supernatural Webtoon, The Vampire Librarian, and Jessica Walsh’s queer supernatural novel, Uncertain Aspects.
