For a 140 year old vampire, Sidney is no better off than when they were mortal: in debt, overworked, heartbroken, and atoning for past mistakes. At least this century he and his friends can enjoy the flourishing nightlife of 1920s Harlem for dancing, drinking, and the occasional bite. Mostly harmless fun for someone masquerading as a 22-year old collegiate by day and a flapper/flaming youth by night, until their antics attract the attention of an unfamiliar vampire.
