1. USE THE #HASHSTAG

Use #bipocvampday across social media (IG, Twitter, Facebook, Tiktok, etc) with your posts. Share your cosplay, makeup looks, OCs, book projects, movies/TV shows, TTRPG/RP/Video games and more. If you’re a BIPOC creator or have BIPOC vampire designs – this is the weekend to share them.

Not a BIPOC creator? – Participate by boosting and sharing content. Draw someone’s creation and bring attention to the event. Or consider making a donation to the virtual blood drive.

Need graphics for promotion? You’ll find those here.

2. DONATE TO THE VIRTUAL BLOOD DRIVE / BECOME A SPONSOR

September is also Sickle Cell Awareness Month – this blood based illness disproportionately affects black and POC communities so it only felt appropriate to use this event to spread awareness and raise funds for the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America. Our goal is to raise funds – become a sponsor, join our streaming fundraising team or donate during the weekend. More details on the charity page.

3. BE A PART OF TO OUR ANTHOLOGY ZINE

We’re creating our third annual anthology zine, Vampires of Color. Submit your BIPOC Vamps as original artwork, mini comics, short stories and excerpts and help raise money for a good cause. Read more details and apply for the anthology here: BIPOC Vampire Anthology

4. SUBMIT TO THE SHOWCASE

I’d love to showcase BIPOC vampires, creators, and their work for the rest of the year after the event is over, so feel free to submit your photos, drawings, projects and more using one of the links below:

Cosplay/Photo Submissions

Art/Comic Submissions

Movie/TV/Game/Book Submissions

5. LOCAL/ONLINE EVENTS

While this is a primarily online/virtual event, there have been in-person events hosted each year – photoshoot meetups, fundraising events, social gatherings and affliated events. If you have an event happening during BIPOC VampDay weekend or would like to host one – let us know so we can spread the word. Contact us!
